FW2010 Reviews
I know, I'm completely late at posting my fashion week reviews; I've been swamped. But no more excuses, my reviews are done. These are all images from Fashion Week in Paris, London & New York.
Alexander McQueen
McQueen's last collection was executed beautifully. The Elizabethan collared dresses and pearl-embellished tulle. The OTK boots are AMAZING and I love that it's bonded at the knee, scrunched and ruffled to make these bondage type boots feminine yet sensual. The alien-like prints and space-age bird accoutrements gives leeway from his previous collection. Lee had always been able to see the future. These predictions will be missed.

The pictures are enough for words. Separate zip-across jackets to make it cropped or hip length, SNAKE-SKIN THIGH-HIGH BOOTS, MILITARY CHIFFON COATS, FUNNEL WOOL COATS, over-sized aviator coats, snow-bunny bondage boots, the beautiful collection of lace, chiffon, leather & wool. IT'S ALL LOVE.

Chanel
I am the self-proclaimed fur queen so OBVIOUSLY Karl's latest collection for Chanel is #1 in my book. The faux-fur does throw me off a bit because yes, YOU CAN TELL. However, the mix of how he incorporated leather with fur, double-layered knits, fringe with different fabrics, and sheer paneling screams sensual winter wonderland. The construction of each garment is beautiful; classic Chanel with a twist of snow-bunny sexy. But can we take about how Erin Wasson is way too tan for this iceland theme?

I feel DIY's coming on. That glove/bracelet is amazing. It's like a netted mesh fringe bracelet that must be incorporated in my wardrobe this fall. I love how some of the fringe looks like icicles. I need, want, must make this. The crystal beaded headpiece and necklace attachments are gorgeous. How beautiful would that be and so unexpected?

Chloe
I'm completely obsessed with the 70's tribute with the speckled wool and Missoni-like textures. That fur coat with blue & tan shades is stunning. The blue is so unexpected and rare, the high-ruffled collar is Elizabethan and adorable. I love that the denim shirt was brought into fall from Spring collections. It works so well with the tan and brown shades. Any of these pieces would be stunning in my wardrobe, let alone I would give up everything I own just to own one piece from Chloe's collection.

Christian Dior
I'm so happy that lingerie is still going to be prevalent into the fall. It's so beautiful when done right and I must, must have those knit thigh highs. The sheer maxi dresses are stunning, so romantic. That cape that Karlie is wearing is gorge. Paired with a feminine dress and it's golden. The vest made in leather, creating a peplum shape is darling. I love that it has an eyelet trim. Designers are really making an effort to balance feminine and rough.

That fur-trimmed vest is enough. Okay, so is the ribbon-laced ribbed sweater cardigan. And so is the hair, coiffed just so with a messy fishtail braid. Okay, enough enough. Pictures tell a thousand words.

Louis Vuitton
How obsessive is the collections' take on Mad Men femininity? The leather circle knee-length skirts are my favorite. Nothing says "lady in the streets, freak in the sheets" like that skirt. ;) The coats are also beautifully executed. The shapes are form-fitting yet create a hour-glass figure on even the smallest forms.

Maison Martin Margiela
I'm dying to wear sheer skirts/dresses for the rest of my life. Even when spider-veins & dimples start appearing on my legs, I'm going to rock these forever. It's subtle sexiness I'm after. The way the sheerness appears from top to bottom which thick farbics to shield is so attractive. Margiela, this is amazing.

Yves Saint Laurent
How hilarious and appealing is this nun and secretary? I love the way the pieces make such a long silhouette, very statuesque. Even though all limbs are pretty much covered, there is a subtle sexiness in each outfit. It's intriguing and quite saucy. Stefano gets it every time, constantly making me want each piece even though it's completely not my style.

The fringe suede platform pumps, the BDSM gloves, the gold over-sized pendant chains...it's all so amazing. Owning just one piece would make my day, my week, my freaking life.
