THE POWER OF PLAY
Do you remember what it felt like to hear the bell ring for recess, running towards the yard excited to simply play? We didn’t worry about what we looked like, we just wanted to move, see our friends and have fun. Field Day is a day to bring back that feeling. 400 people were invited to put on their best sweat gear, throw caution to the wind and focus on the power of play.
Los Angeles is a melting pot of transplants, all seeking connection and community. Most find themselves in a coworking spaces or a group fitness class, both of which don’t automatically create the connection and community they are seeking. The Power of Play is an opportunity to bring together nostalgia and friendship, the way we remembered as kids on the playground.
lululemon partnered with YesRally to bring The Power of Play Rally to life. With games, team captains, track and field, and other elements of the blacktop, the Los Angeles community had a place to hang for the day and build friendships where only play is the focus of the day.
