BOUQUET BRIGHTS
There are many days (and nights) here in New York where nothing can brighten my day. Whether it was a tough day at work, a fight with someone or even that small moment where I tripped over my own feet and slid down the subway stairs (yup, this happened), there is literally nothing to fix the day. Well, almost nothing. After a GREAT night sleep courtesy of Melatonin and a fresh, clean face, the one thing that brightens a shitty day before is a walk to the bodega for fresh flowers. A part of my weekend ritual revolves around my flower trip. Knowing that my apartment will be spruced with fresh flowers will make up for a really crappy week. Are you just as obsessed with home bouquets as I am? Also, donning bright ass pants and a beautifully neon bag doesn't hurt either.
But really what this is all about is my new vintage sweater. I found this gem when I was home for the holidays and my word, it takes my breath away. Yes it's definitely 80's with shoulder pads (in the lining) and maje dolman sleeves but c'mon. How could I pass up a rabbit fur and pearl combo cashmere sweater? God, my grandchildren are going to have an epic wardrobe to rummage.
