The smoke, the mirrors, the blinders, the doubts have all cleared away and what's left is pure. After falling hard, then doubting what you've fallen for, you realize that it isn't as complicated as you thought it could be. What's left from the rubble is this pure sense of self. The company you keep becomes more than a lover, it becomes the deepest friendship you've known.
